Hawaiian legend and myth have many tales of young strong Hawaiian men that play with other yong strong Hawaiian men. Steeped in mystery and double antandras was homosexuality evident in ancient Hawaii. It is hard to say yes there were homosexual, because hawaiians never had a word that meant homosexual. They did have many artful ways of describing how men might intimate with another man.
With missonary reserve many of gay hawaiian stories probably never made it to the print shop but we do have stories of our alii. Liloa with his man whom he banged against his thighs and bumped testicles with.... etc.
